Lisa Edelstein, an American actress best well-known for House, a Fox medical drama series. After being raised by conservative Jews in Wayne, New York City was the place she went to pursue her studies in theater at Tisch. She was very active in the clubs in New York City, and did enough that she was heard by the media. While doing so, she was becoming more conscious of AIDS' devastating effects. Then, she used her experience and fame, along with her personal experience to create and perform a show called Positive Me. In the following year she was employed by MTV to host Awake on the Wild Side. When the show was over her appearances began in television and film productions, initially in smaller roles. She gradually established her acting career.
