Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan model and actor, is especially active in Indian film. She was also the runner-up from the 2007 Miss Sri Lanka Universe pageant. Fernandez, who is of Canadian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian and multiracial ancestry, spent most of her growing up in Bahrain. The degree she earned is in mass communications at the University of Sydney. She spent a long time as a reporter on TV within Sri Lanka before she entered the world of modelling. When she represented her country in Miss Universe 2006, she gained a reputation as one of the best model in Sri Lanka. She landed Jasmine's role in Sujoy Ghosh's 'Aladin' on her 2009 tour through India. In 2011 she was cast as the part of Priya, the female lead for "Murder 2". Fernandez was able to build a career post-film, that was a huge success at the box office as well as in the eyes of critical acclaim. In the following years, she's played in movies such as Housefull 2 & 3, "Race 2", "Definition Of Fear" as well as Judwaa 2. She has won multiple honors and has become a brand ambassador of several international companies. She is a committed social activist who has various charitable causes and charities.
